GründES, based in Esslingen am Neckar, is the Centre for Entrepreneurship of Esslingen University of Applied Sciences and serves as the central point of contact for entrepreneurship and innovation. The team promotes entrepreneurial spirit and responsible action for students, staff, alumni, and external interested parties. In addition to events, workshops, and international projects, GründES offers coaching, teaching programs, and incubator services to support startup foundations and innovation projects. The primary target group includes tech-savvy founders, startups with social-ecological added value, and university members from the region.

In-Person

Makerspace Esslingen is an open prototyping and creative workshop in Esslingen that supports students, founders, and technology-minded citizens with free access to machines such as 3D printers, CNC milling machines, and laser cutters. Regular workshops are offered - for example on 3D printing, Gimp, Docker, or Linux - providing practical introductions and in-depth applications of digital manufacturing techniques and software. Participation requires no fixed program entry; instead, it operates participatively in community-designed formats organized by association members and experts.
