Cyber Innovation Hub

Program Context

The Cyber Innovation Hub of the Bundeswehr is an agile digital innovation unit that acts as an interface between the German armed forces and the startup ecosystem. It identifies technological needs from the armed forces, develops digital solutions based on these in an iterative, user-centered approach, and tests them in real operational scenarios. In addition to innovation projects such as VR flight simulators and cyber defense tools, the hub offers an intrapreneurship program for Bundeswehr personnel as well as the integration of reservists into innovation processes. The goal is to establish a culture of experimentation and realize digital transformation solutions without participation in external companies. It is managed by the Bundeswehr through the CIHBw on behalf of the Ministry of Defense.
