Program Context

DB mindbox, based in Berlin, supports startups in the areas of mobility, digitalization, rail technology, infrastructure maintenance, artificial intelligence (AI), and sustainable business models with €25,000 in financing (without equity dilution), access to DB data and infrastructure, a 100-day mentoring program including workshops, coworking space in Berlin, and targeted support from Deutsche Bahn experts. The program aims at proofs of concept (PoC) with real DB use cases and offers opportunities for follow-on cooperation (approx. 60% of participants). Key focus areas include predictive maintenance, customer interaction, and HR innovations such as AR/VR qualification.
