Program Context

ESA BIC Bavaria, headquartered at multiple locations in Bavaria, supports startups in the fields of Robotics, MedTech, Mobility, Automotive, Aerospace, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and small satellite technologies with €50,000 in funding (without equity stake), access to ESA and DLR expertise, Fraunhofer research capacities, technical infrastructure, individual coaching, and matchmaking with industry partners such as Airbus. The program particularly supports space-based technology transfers - such as satellite navigation, robotics, or mechatronics - for applications in non-space-related markets like automotive, sports, or location-based services.
