Media Lab Bayern

Program Context

Media Lab Bayern, based in Munich, supports startups in the fields of digital journalism and media projects, including information technology, design, and business development. The program offers comprehensive support through incubation programs, coaching, workshops, and networks, as well as access to a co-working space. Participants in the Media Startup Fellowship program receive up to 40,000 euros in prototyping budget and coaching from subject matter experts. Supported technologies include digital tools and approaches that improve the film industry, while direct film project financing is excluded. International teams can apply but must demonstrate a business case for the German-speaking market.
