Program Context

SMILE, based in Leipzig, is the startup initiative of the International SEPT Competence Centre at the University of Leipzig, promoting entrepreneurship and startup activity at regional, national, and international levels. The support center offers targeted training programs, individual startup coaching, and assistance in securing funding for students, graduates, scientists, and other founders. Target groups include in particular researchers and students, especially in the fields of biotechnology, health, technology, culture, media, and social and sustainable business models.
