Program Context

Starburst Aerospace promotes deep-tech startups focused on aerospace, defense, urban mobility, and dual-use technologies through international accelerator programs. In the German-speaking region, Starburst operates the FCAS Startup Accelerator together with HENSOLDT, which offers prototyping, technical bootcamps, and direct connection to defense projects such as the Future Combat Air System. The program targets startups with applications in AI, 3D-printed electronics, sensor systems, and high-frequency technologies. Participants gain access to industry partners, proof-of-concept funding, and introductions to venture capital investors. Starburst sometimes invests directly, with typical ticket sizes ranging from 200,000 to 1 million euros.
